Well over 100,000 words were written about Firle Bonfire Society in 2003 and over 32 minutes of regional TV news coverage was shown - that's more television time than an episode of Coronation Street! Even now, over 12 months later, the media coverage continues, regardless of whether there's any REAL story to tell. And, with rare exceptions, there's still little evidence that the authors of this coverage have cluttered their heads with any real knowledge or understanding of Bonfire - despite all the practice!
