Bus bookings must be made by 10am on the Wednesday immediately preceding the outmeeting you wish to attend.

Bookings will be recorded in the order that they are received so an early reservation is the best way to ensure a seat. In exceptional cases it may be possible to take bookings after this deadline but there is no guarantee that space will be available and additional vehicles will not be provided on the basis of late requests. When booking, please state the number of adult and child passengers you wish to reserve seats for. Bus fares to all outmeetings are £6.00 for adults and £3.00 for children.
Note: Child fares apply up to - but not including - the age of 16.

At least one 16 seat capacity bus will be booked for each outmeeting the Society is attending but the actual provision of a bus will depend on an economical number of passengers having booked seats by the deadline, above. If numbers permit, a second bus will be provided but this will depend on the number of bookings received by the deadline, above.

All pre-booked seats must be paid for unless cancellation is received by
12 noon on the Thursday preceding the outmeeting. If cancellations do not meet the deadline, above, you will be charged for any booked seats.

Buses will leave Berwick on the outward journey between 5 and 6pm depending on the distance of the journey. There will be TWO pick-up points for all outmeeting buses – Firle village and Glynde village. Any other pick-up points will depend on the route that the bus takes to any given outmeeting. The route taken will be the most economic available in terms of mileage and the bus company will determine the route on this basis. Any additional pick-up points will be directly on the route at a place where the bus can safely stop to collect passengers. No diversions will be made off route on either the outward or homeward journeys. Route details will be provided in advance of all outmeetings and will, additionally, be available here on the website.

All buses are scheduled to leave on the homeward journey at 10.30pm . However, a later departure (up to 11.00pm ) may be arranged on the night with the mutual agreement of all passengers and the driver. Passengers will be advised of the time and place of the return pick-up point on arrival at each outmeeting.

In order to keep prices affordable, we have agreed to keep the buses as clean as possible and we welcome your co-operation with this. Anyone who is sick on the bus will be charged £25. Without exception!
